What is Peas & Love?

Okra Abbey is a giving garden, which means all the produce we grow is given away to our neighbors. Unfortunately not all our neighbors are able to enjoy what is growing in garden beds in person, so we make home visits. Peas & Love is this ministry that enables us to bring fresh, locally grown produce into the homes or neighbors who are homebound. The Peas & Love visits provide an opportunity to fellowship with our neighbors and bring the community that is forming in the Abbey into the homes of neighbors. In these visits, the Okra Abbey team provides prayers and pastoral care as needed addressing not only the physical needs of our neighbors but the spiritual and relational needs as well.
