Join us as we celebrate our first monthly Health & Wellness Community Day! Neighbors and volunteers of all ages are welcome. Okra Abbey’s entrance gates are on Hickory Street and Eagle Street and our community refrigerator faces Hickory Street. Okra Abbey is located on New Orleans Public School Property and the school’s address is 1800 Monroe Street.

We will learn about connections between the garden beds and the food we eat at the community table with Okra Abbey’s lead gardener Billie Golan. We will replenish the raised garden beds with soil and prepare this season’s seeds and starts. We will connect with neighbors and grow community while we work on growing fresh and nutritious food.
