Okra Abbey hosts regular volunteer days for groups interested in supporting our work and connecting with the neighborhood. Volunteer days are typically organized for the specific group(s) who are scheduled to attend, but they are typically open to the public for other volunteers to join and community members to join in and/or hang out and talk, share stories, eat food together, etc.

Examples of Volunteer Projects:

• Painting signs for the garden

• Pulling weeds and planting seeds

• Repairing and building new garden infrastructure like benches, shade structures, etc.

• Neighborhood clean up/ trash pick up

• and much more!
